EA’s most recent football title will join PC Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate via Microsoft’s partnership with EA Play and coincides with the UEFA EURO 2024 tournament, which is currently taking place in Germany between June 14 and July 14.

FIFA 22 Leaves Game Pass On June 30
A 10-hour trial of EA’s latest football offering,EA Sports FC 24,was included in Xbox Game Passas part of the partnership with Electronic Arts' EA Play subscription anyway, but the arrival of the full title on the service comes just days afterXbox announcedFIFA 2022would be leavingthe Game Pass subscription. This removal is hardly surprising, not only becauseFIFA 22was already two years old, and its predecessor,FIFA 23,was also on the service in full, but also because EA parted ways with the FIFA license in 2022 after an almost 30-year partnership, opting to launch itsEA Sports FCseries instead.
Of course that’s not to sayEA Sports FC 24will be in any way less licensed than theFIFAgames were, as EA went to great lengths to secure the rights to several names and likenesses. To ensure this, the studio signed with 19000 athletes, 700 teams, 100 stadiums, and over 30 leagues, including the Premier League, Bundesliga, La Liga, and UEFA, to provide an authentic football experience when creating its newEA Sports FCtitles going forward, without some of the restrictions it found working with theFIFAlicense.
