Where To Carch Void Salmon
Like theGoby inStardew Valley, Void Salmon is unique compared to most other fish; you can only catch Void Salmon in one location.You won’t be able to start your Void Salmon Fish Ponduntil you unlock the Witch’s Swamp. The Witch’s Swamp is a secret area accessed by the Railroad, leading to the magical Witch’s Hut.
By the time you get to the Witch’s Swamp, you should have an Iridium Rod to better help your chances of catching this highly difficult fish. If you don’t have an Iridium Rod yet, make sure to buy one.
Once you’ve gotten into the Witch’s Swamp, throw your fishing line into the blue waters and wait for a bite. You’ll likely catch a lot of Void Mayonnaise; if it is raining, you may even get aCatfish. However, on a typical day, the Void Salmon is the only fish in the waters of the Witch’s Swamp. It hasa Difficulty of 80 but Mixed behavior, so if you are a skilled fisherman, you should quickly obtain your first Void Salmon.
How To Catch Void Salmon
The Witch’s Swamp is closed off to players in the early parts ofStardew Valley. In fact, even the area where you enter the Witch’s Swamp is closed off until an earthquake clears the way. When you enter the Railroad,you should see a cave blocked off by a small house on chicken legs in the upper right corner. This is the Witch’s Swamp entrance, but it will not be available without some work.
If you want to clear the way to the Witch’s Swamp, you first have to complete theCommunity Center or Joja Warehouse inStardew Valley. While this will take a while, it is one of the main achievements of the game and should keep you well entertained. Once you’ve completed one or the other,head to the Railroadfor a cutscene with the Wizard. Afterward, he’ll give you the ‘Dark Talisman’ quest to get into the Witch’s Swamp.
To complete the ‘Dark Talisman’ quest, speak to Krobus in the Sewers, andhe will direct you tothe Mutant Bug Lair. This special dungeon is accessed at the top of the slime trail to the far left of the Sewers. The talisman you need is somewhere in the Mutant Bug Lair. Once you find it, head back to the Railroad, and you’ll unlock both the Witch’s Swamp and Void Salmon inStardew Valley.
