Summary

Jedi Masters inStar Warsare meant to be the right fit for their Padawan learners based on both of their strengths and weaknesses, and these 12 Jedi would therefore be perfect for each of the Zodiac signs. Masters and apprentices have proven quite complicated throughoutStar Warsmovies and TV shows. Even some ofStar Wars’most powerful Jedihave proven not to be the best masters; after all, Master Yoda’s own apprentice, Count Dooku, became a Sith (although that wasn’t quite Yoda’s fault).

However, the nature of Jedi masters and apprentices is that each is supposed to learn from the other. Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano are perhaps the best example of this; Ahsoka was meant to challenge Anakin as much as Anakin was meant to teach Ahsoka. In light of that intention for Jedi Masters and their Padawans, these 12 Jedi would be ideal masters for each Zodiac sign.

Which Jedi Are You, Based On Your Zodiac Sign?

Of all the Jedi in Star Wars' movies and TV shows, these 12 perfectly represent each of the Zodiac signs—what does your sign reveal about you?

Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader

Aries is known for being confident, assertive, and passionate, but they are also known for having a short fuse. All of these attributes would be an ideal fit for Anakin Skywalker. In fact, much like Ahsoka being the perfect Padawan for Anakin because she challenged him, an Aries Padawan would reflect many of Anakin’s own flaws, which would presumably help them both grow. Anakin would also understand such outbursts of anger more than most.

In fact, arguably, one of the reasons Anakin struggled as Obi-Wan’s Padawan was because Obi-Wan didn’t understand his emotional reactions. Obi-Wan, in contrast, was always level-headed and thoughtful. If Anakin had a Padawan who did struggle to contain their anger, he would have the wisdom to help them overcome this flaw and embrace the peace and calm the Jedi were meant to maintain, perhaps helping himself improve in that area at the same time.

Mace Windu

Mace Windu was certainly a tough character, butthat would make him the perfect master for a Taurus. Taurus is a sign known most for being stubborn, which is clearly communicated via the symbol for the sign, a bull. To a certain degree, being stubborn can be a good thing, as it can mean one is dedicated to their beliefs and has a strong sense of self.

However, stubbornness can also be a problem for a Jedi, who should be focused on creating unity. In that sense, Mace Windu would be the ideal Jedi Master; although he was also fairly stubborn, he could help a Taurus Padawan see the benefits of compromising and working with the other Jedi to find the best path forward. Of course, Taurus is also a sign known for being steadfast and patient, which would make any Taurus a great Jedi.

Yoda

Geminis are often thought of as being incredibly fun, as the sign is associated with playfulness, creativity, and charm. However, Geminis are also known for being very intelligent. These character traits would mesh well with Master Yoda’s wisdom and calm. In fact, as impulsivity can also be a Gemini trait, Yoda would do well to manage a Padawan’s more reckless or rash decisions and teach them how to be more mindful, as a Jedi should be.

Moreover, although Yoda was also a very powerful Jedi and led the Order, he had a surprising sense of humor when he wanted to. After all, he not only poked fun at Obi-Wan Kenobi throughout the prequel trilogy but also teased Luke Skywalker both in the original and sequel trilogies.Yoda would therefore be an ideal fit for a Gemini, both in terms of their strengths and their weaknesses.

Ahsoka Tano

Cancers are known for being emotional, in both positive and negative ways. While Cancers' emotions can mean they are empathetic, intuitive, and caring, they can also manifest as insecurity and sensitivity.Ahsoka would be an ideal Jedi Master to a Cancer for that reason. Ahsoka has dealt with significant trauma in her life, from being kicked out of the Jedi Order to realizing that almost everyone she knows and loves is dead.

Her past experiences would therefore mean that she would have a compassionate approach with a Cancer Padawan. In fact, as she had her own difficulties with her master and apprentice dynamic with Anakin (to say the least), she would also understand how important that relationship is. In all likelihood, such a dynamic would heal Ahsoka too, meaning that each would be benefiting from the way a Jedi Master and their apprentice are meant to be.

Obi-Wan Kenobi

Leos are known for plenty of positive traits, including intense loyalty, creativity, and passion (as any fire sign is). However, Leos are also strongly associated with having an ego. Obi-Wan Kenobi would be the perfect Jedi Master to manage a Leo Padawan because he’s already proven he can train someone with an ego. In truth, very few characters can compete with Anakin Skywalker when it comes to pride.

Obi-Wan Kenobi would be the perfect Jedi Master to manage a Leo Padawan.

Particularly inStar Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones, Anakin proved how conceited he could really be, yet Obi-Wan remained even-tempered and patient. Of course, Anakin ended up becoming one ofStar Wars’most powerful Sith. However, there were many external factors that impacted Anakin’s fall, such as the death of his mother and his relationship with Padmé, so Obi-Wan’s ability to train such a Padawan shouldn’t be discounted.

All 15 Defining Moments In Anakin Skywalker’s Fall To The Dark Side

Anakin Skywalker’s fall to the dark side of the Force is a pivotal event in Star Wars, and 15 key moments defined how that turn happened over time.

Qui-Gon Jinn

Virgos are known for being organized, practical, and reliable, which are all excellent traits. However, being a perfectionist, as Virgos can at times be, can create other problems, such as becoming too rigid in their way of thinking or being overly critical of others. Qui-Gon Jinn would therefore be an ideal fit as a Jedi Master for a Virgo.

Being a perfectionist, as Virgos can at times be, can create other problems.

Qui-Gon was never one to shy away from breaking the mold, and he frequently opposed the Jedi Council, which he made clear when he insisted on the Jedi accepting Anakin Skywalker. In fact, inStar Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace, Qui-Gon’s actual Padawan, Obi-Wan, essentially pleaded with him to not continue to defy the Council (Qui-Gon refused). Qui-Gon’s willingness to break the rules would be difficult for a Virgo to swallow, meaning they would be perfectly challenged as his Padawan.

Luke Skywalker

Libras are all about diplomacy and balance, which means Luke Skywalker would be a brilliant Jedi Master for them. Interestingly,Star Warshas yet to show Luke as a true Jedi Master, and the franchise may very well never bring that to the small or big screen.Star Warsmovies and TV shows have shown glimpses of Luke as a Jedi Master, including in brief scenes fromStar Wars: The Rise of Skywalkerwhen he trained Leia and inThe Book of Boba Fettwhen he trained Grogu.

However, even without seeing a detailed representation of Luke’s time as a Jedi Master, it’s easy to imagine what he would have been like, especially before his Jedi Temple fell to Ben Solo. Luke would absolutely agree with the idea of balance, most notably because he was able to bring his father back to the light side of the Force after he had been a Sith Lord for so long. Together, Luke and a Libra Padawan could rework the prequel trilogy Jedi Order’s focus on stomping out the dark entirely.

Plo Koon Would Handle A Scorpio’s Loyal But Slightly Controlling Nature Perfectly

First Appeared In: Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace

Scorpios, easily recognizable by the Zodiac sign’s symbol of a scorpion, are known for being incredibly loyal and brave, but they are also known for being secretive and a bit manipulative. This would prove concerning for a Padawan, as neither secrecy nor manipulation would be appropriate traits for a Jedi. However,Plo Koon’s calming presence and wisdom would be a perfect fit for such a Padawan.

In fact, Barriss Offee matches the description of a Scorpio Padawan, and her fate may have been much different if she’d had Plo Koon as a Jedi Master. While it wasn’t Luminara Unduli’s fault that her Padawan fell to the dark side for a time, Plo Koon’s compassion and warmth would likely have been helpful to Barriss. Indeed, Plo Koon’s disposition, from his calm nature to his compassionate interactions with others, would make him an ideal fit for a Scorpio Padawan.

Kanan Jarrus

Kanan Jarrus was an incredible Jedi Master to Ezra Bridger, and his demise inStar Wars Rebelswas truly tragic. However, his guidance of Ezra throughoutRebelsproves that he would be excellent for a Sagittarius Padawan. The Sagittarius sign is known for being optimistic, funny, and curious; the Sagittarius traits therefore already align with Kanan’s actual Padawan.

ThroughoutRebels, Ezra was charming, adventurous, and idealistic, which made him a wonderful character but at times a somewhat difficult Padawan. However, Kanan did an excellent job embracing Ezra’s fun-loving personality while also helping him become more serious and disciplined. In the end, he succeeded, as Ezra not only became a powerful Jedi but also a selfless person, willing to risk his life to save others. Were Kanan to have a Sagittarius Padawan, he could implement the same approach and no doubt be just as successful.

Rey Skywalker

Capricorns are known for being extremely hard-working and resilient, but their dedication to being realistic can at times become pessimism. However,Rey would identify with all of these traits as a Jedi Master. Rey managed to keep herself alive for years, scavenging for minimal amounts of food. Because she had suffered such terrible trauma, though, she had a deep suspicion of others that certainly could be considered pessimistic.

Capricorns are known for being extremely hard-working and resilient.

If Rey were to have a Capricorn Padawan with similar traits, she could use her experiences to guide them in an empathetic way. Moreover, Rey would serve as an excellent example that, even if one has had a difficult past, it doesn’t mean that things can’t change in the future, especially when one takes a risk and relies upon others. Rey’s story is truly one of hope, which would be an important lesson for Capricorns to learn.
