Star Trekexecutive producer Alex Kurtzman accepted thePeabody Institutional Award on behalf ofStar Trek, and he gavea special tribute to Bjo Trimble, whose letter-writing campaign with her late husband John savedStar Trekfrom cancelation after season 2.Joining Kurtzman and Trimble on behalf of Star Trek were Patrick Stewart, LeVar Burton, Jeri Ryan, Anson Mount, Rebecca Romijn, Ethan Peck, Wilson Cruz, Doug Jones, Scott Bakula, Tawny Newsome, Sam Richardson, Akiva Goldsman, Henry Alonso Myers, Michelle Paradise, Terry Matalas, Olatunde Osunsanmi, Noga Landau, Jenny Lumet, and Trevor Roth. The Peabody was presented to Kurtzman byStar Trekdirector and producer J.J. Abrams.
