What The Season 1 Finale Sets Up

Although theSiloseason 1 reviews were mostly positive, one of the criticisms of the debut season is that it takes its time unfurling the mystery at its core. Questions are raised in the first episode regarding what it is actually like on the surface, and it’s not until the final episode that part of an answer is provided. TheSiloseason 1 finalesees Juliette banished to the surface world, and it really is an apocalyptic landscape as depicted on the viewing screen. She also sees, however, dozens of other silos.

While the action ofSiloseason 1 was mostly confined to the titular silo, the reveals in the finale suggest that the world of the show could expand in season 2. The introduction of the surface world as a location opens up the universe for further exploration. In one shot in the season 1 finale, for example,a ruined cityscape is seen far in the distance, and it’s certainly possible that season 2 (or beyond) could see theSilocast of charactersinvestigating this.

The other silos couod be managed and overseen in different manners than Juliette’s is, and it’s possible that she will encounter even more nefarious individuals as she attempts to share the truth.
