Newlyweds go viral as wedding catches on fire mid-ceremony

A set of newlyweds have gone viral on TikTok after their wedding venue caught fire during their reception as they used indoor fireworks.

For most, a wedding is supposed to be the happiest day of their life. You finally get to express your love to someone that you’ve been with for a while, and it cements the relationship for the rest of your life.

Wedding venue catches fire mid-party

On July 13,TikTokerfrosty.johnson.v2 posted a short video from a wedding in Australia as the newlyweds made their entrance to the wedding reception. However, just in the background, part of their decor had caught fire.

While the couple continued to dance into the venue, and drummers kept on drumming, the fire started to spread, prompting some guests to panic.

Attempts were made to put the flames out, however, the use of indoor fireworks slowed down the bid to battle the fire.

The TikTok account uploaded a follow-up video of the “aftermath” shortly after, showing that the venue’s sprinklers had been activated, flooding the reception with water.

Viewers were quick to express concern for the couple and weddinggoers. “OMG, I feel so bad for the couple,” one said. “Considering people noticed the blaze immediately, this could have all been avoided if someone asked the staff members for an extinguisher,” another said.
