If you haveCharacter Tokens remainingfrom the Open Beta, you might be able to use them to unlock the characters. However, it appears that this type of reward might be discontinued in the game’s full launch.

The Joker isone of the more expensive characters in the game; however, there are ways to get both Gleamium and Fighter Currency for free. Logging in and playing some matches will let you get both, albeit slowly. You canbuy Gleamium with real currency if you want The Joker faster.

Chaotic Energy
The Joker has some very thematic moves and is one of the more chaotic figures on the battlefield. His moves can be very hard to predict, both for the player and their opponent, and he can be very good at brawling in close quarters.
Dirty Dealer!
Neutral Ground/Air
You throw a card as a Projectile. Each throw cycles to a new card:
Diamond: Sticks to opponents and explodes.

Heart: Passes through them but boomerangs back and hits them while returning.

Normal Air Side
A spring-loaded boxing glove forward punches your opponent. This can be Charged.
Brushed And Ready!

Normal Ground Down
You can wind up mechanical teeth to bite your opponents, which breaks Armor. The more you Charge this attack, the more bites the teeth will do. You can save this Charge for use with this move or “Take A Whiff” later.
Oh No Pogo!
Normal Air Down
The Joker will jump on a pogo stick. you may Charge this move to make the jump even higher.
Let’s Shake On It!
Special Neutral Ground
You offer your opponent a handshake. You will gain Armor. If they are too close or hit you, your opponent will be shocked and knocked back.
Take A Whiff!
Special Neutral Air
The Joker Charges and fires acid from his acid flower. It will Break Armor. Like in “Brushed and Ready!” the Charge can be saved and used for either move.
Blastoff!
Special Ground Side
You fire a rocket as a Projectile from a rocket launcher. You can Charge this attack.
Balloonatic!
Special Ground/Air Up
You launch yourself upward with a balloon. When not on cooldown, the Joker will leave a balloon behind that you or any allies can use to ride or to knock opponents back.

The Joker has a choice for this move: input special again to shoot forward a cannon or input attack to bring out a Jack-in-the-Box to shoot upward.
Throw a grenade down and launch yourself up.

Runaway Inflation
The more you charge, the Balloonatic! Attack, the bigger the balloon.
That’s Flammable, Doc!
Offense
After hitting an opponent with a Projectile, if you hit them with a melee attack, you can ignite them.
Snowball Effect
The deal increased damage against the opponent with the greatest damage.
Hitting an enemy with armor will temporarily negate that armor.
