The sign in question was spotted at Oxford Circus Station in London and posted toRedditfrom multiple angles, before VGC’s Andy Robinson also shared an image, proving that it’s real.

The large poster clearly shows the Switch 2 Edition of Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, with the words “out now” clearly plastered on the right-hand side. However, there is still no sign on the Nintendo store.

As many fans speculated, this is likely just a mistake that was supposed to be covered up with another sticker. But many felt that this could mean that big news is right around the corner, with some even hoping for a shadowdrop.

“So that would mean we’re really close to release?” said one player.

Metroid Prime 4 Beyond gets exciting update in March 27 Nintendo Direct

It’s worth keeping in mind that another huge Nintendo game, Donkey Kong Bananza, is releasing on July 17, so it would definitely be bold to drop two such high-profile first-party titles so close together. But even if this is just a mistake and a Metroid Prime 4 shadowdrop isn’t on the cards, it’s a good sign that it’s on track to hit its 2025 window.
