Marvel’s Spider-Man 2is getting a free update, bringing new suits to the game this month. With its pre-order content and Digital Deluxe Edition, Peter Parker and Miles Morales had 39 unique suits each at launch, with some returning suits, new designs, and adaptations of suits relevant to the story, such as Peter’s Black suit due to its ties to the Venom arc, and later updates brought a Hellfire Gala suit for each hero, and a further “Fly N' Fresh” pack was released for $4.99 to help the charity Gameheads with original ’90s inspired designs that Insomniac stated would come to the game for free at a later date.
As per a newPlayStation Blogpost,a free update dropping on June 18 will bring eight new suits toMarvel’s Spider-Man 2, including returning favorites for both Peter and Miles from the previousMarvel’s Spider-Mangames. Some new designs were previously teased when American artist, fashion designer, and musician, Colm Dillane (aka KidSuper) announced a collaboration with PlayStation and three other artists; Singer, actress, and model Rina Sawayama, Formula 1’s Lando Norris, and Brazilian footballer Vinicius Jr. These suits are as follows:

Rina Sawayama and KidSuper
The update also addresses player feedback with requested features such as the ability to swap out parry and traversal abilities from the Symbiote tendrils to the mechanical Spider-Arms, and vice versa.

Four Suits Are Returning From Past Games
Alongside the KidSuper collaborations, four fan-favorite legacy suits fromMarvel’s Spider-ManandMarvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Moralesare being added to the game, with Insomniac stating that these picks came from community requests.Marvel’s Spider-Man 2’s creative director, Bryan Intihar, did previously explain the logic incutting suits for the sequel, stating that it wasn’t as simple as just copying across suits as they needed to be made “PS5-sized”, while also pointing out that Insomniac simply wanted a new roster of suits, and wanted to ensure that Peter and Miles had an equal number of suits, despite Peter having many more inMarvel’s Spider-Manthan Miles did in his game.
The suits that have been selected are Peter’sLast Standsuit, which sees him donning a more practical version of his costume with a red leather jacket and black jeans, Miles' Uptown Pride suit, which sees the red in his Classic suit swapped out with gold, Miles' animated look from his first foray into TV in theUltimate Spider-Mancartoon, and Peter’sInto The Spider-Verselook, which can finally be paired with Miles' various looks from the award-winningSpider-Verseanimated films.TheLast Standand Uptown Pride suits also come with a variety of Suit Styles, which are color variants designed to create new striking looks, which are as follows:

These new additions are certainly promising for those who have been wanting to exploreMarvel’s Spider-Man 2’s larger New York map with some of their favorite suits from past games. Hopefully, as Insomniac clearly seems to be listening to its community in this area, it bodes well for more additions in the future.

From the creatives at Insomniac games, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is the sequel to Marvel’s Spider-Man and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales.
