Is Spider-Man in Venom 3? Rumors explained
Venom 3 is the last ride for Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock and Venom duo, so does that mean we finally get a long-awaited Spider-Man cameo?
Spider-Manand Venom have yet to encounter each other in Tom Hardy’sVenom movies. It makes sense – right now, Spidey is kicking it in the MCU, and Venom has been trying to make his own way in the world.

But thenew moviehas been the subject of speculation and rumors, with many believing we will get a version of Spider-Man in the form of either Andrew Garfield or Tom Holland. (Eddie did dip into Holland’s universe, so it’s not impossible.)
Now that the movie’s out, we know the truth. So, will we have to wait untilSpider-Man 4to see Peter Parker again? Here’s what you need to know.

Is Spider-Man in Venom 3?
Sorry, no versions of Spider-Man appear in Venom: The Last Dance.
Spider-Man doesn’t even get a mention, and because this is the last Venom movie, it’s unlikely we’ll be seeing that Sony Spider-Man and Venom connection anytime soon.

Rumors of a Spider-Man cameo can be traced back to Tom Hardy, who gave a vague response when asked if it was a chance inVenom 3.
“There are always possibilities,” Hardyresponded. “I cannot possibly say anything, because this is the last movie. [But] I would love that.”

Hardy was clearly playing coy in order to get fans in seats in the hopes of seeing Peter Parker. Spider-Man crossing paths with Venom isn’t anything new, and in the minds of many it was only a matter of time before this happened again.

Hardy has also spoken about wanting to fight Spider-Man in the past.Specifically, Tom Holland’s version of the character.
There’s a simple reason why another Venom movie won’t happen anytime soon

How many Venom movies are there? How to watch in order
During the production of The Last Dance,on-set photoswere taken of Tom Hardy filming scenes in New York City, Spider-Man’s hometown. Naturally, this added fuel to the fire, with many fans thinking that the optics lined up too perfectly for therenotto be an encounter between the two.
What’s more, a Venom: The Last Dance TV spot sparked a new theory: that we’d be seeing a younger version of Peter Parker in the sequel. Fans spotted ayoung boy in the trailer, and some assumed that this was Peter as a child.
However, this was wishful thinking from those who want more Spidey in their lives. Neither Tom Holland, Andrew Garfield, or Tobey Maguire appear in the new movie.
The Last Dance is unrelated to Spider-Man
There are minimal connections between The Last Dance and Spider-Man, with the main one being thatwe relive the mid credits scene from Spider-Man: No Way Home.
In that scene, Eddie Brock is sitting and drinking at a bar in Mexico. This is in the MCU universe, but he suddenly gets sucked back through a portal and into his own universe again, landing in a slightly shabbier version of the same bar.
The moment isn’t given much spotlight, aside from Eddie quipping how he’s had enough of “this multiverse sh*t”. The only other connection to Spider-Man apart from this (and this is a stretch), is that Eddie ends the movie in New York, Spidey’s home territory.
Throughout the movie, Eddie and Venom vow to escape to New York City, where they can be free of Eddie’s manhunt. Venom wants to see the Statue of Liberty, but sadly, he never makes it, sacrificing himself in The Last Dance’s ending.
As such, The Last Dance, like the other Venom movies, remains mostly separated from any past or current Spider-Man universe.
