Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment announced during Switch 2 Direct
A new Legend ofZeldagame was revealed during theSwitch 2 Direct, giving players a look at the latest adventure.
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonement is the second game in the Hyrule Warriors series, and takes place during the Imprisoning War. The title directly leads into Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, and serves as the mainline game’s backstory.

From the footage shown during the Switch 2 direct, it looks as though players will get to take control of Zelda, King Rauru, Mineru, and the legendary Sages as they fight Ganondorf’s forces and ultimately seal him away.
Is there a release date?
No, Nintendo has yet to reveal an official release date, but we do know that it’scoming this winterfor the Switch 2.

During the April 2 Nintendo Switch 2 direct, we got the first trailer for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonement. In it, we saw more of the storyline, visuals, and of course, everyone’s favorite princess, Zelda.
We saw another trailer during the July 31 Partner Direct as well, which showed off more of the storyline and visuals.

Developers
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonement is being developed byKoei Tecmo Games, withhelp from Nintendo. Koei previously worked on Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, which took place a century before the events of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
Characters
Judging from the brief gameplay trailer shown at the Switch Direct, we can confirm that the following characters make an appearance:
Just like the previous Hyrule Warriors game, the above characters have special attacks and combos, which can be used to take down the hordes of Moblins, Stalfos, and Lynels that roam around the battlefield.
