Star Warshas completely taken over Fortnite, with the map getting a sci-fi overhaul and all of theweapons being replaced by blasterswith the signature sounds. Plus, a number oficonic characterscan be found on the island, including Darth Maul andMace Windu.
Now, Darth Jar Jar Binks has arrived, leaving fans wondering how to unlock him. Here’s everything you need to know.
How to unlock Darth Jar Jar Binks in Fortnite
Darth Jar Jar is available from the Fortnite store byspending 1,500 V-Bucks, but the catch is that youmust earn 1.28 million XP before you can buy him. The skin can be found under the “Prove Your Power” section of the store, which tracks your progress.

The decision to lock him behind XP as well as V-Bucks hascaused some frustration among fans, especially since it was initially hoped that he would be a Battle Pass skin that could be unlocked simply by playing. However, this spot was taken by Emperor Palpatine and General Grievous.

If you don’t want to grind all of that XP, there’s also a regular Jar Jar Binks skin that costs 1,500 V-Bucks. He also has extra cosmetics that can be bought separately:
Jar Jar Binks was seen in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace back in 1999, the first of the prequel trilogy. The character was fairly divisive because of his goofy personality, but still appeared in the following two movies and The Clone Wars series.

Then, in the years since, a popular fan theory emerged which argued that Binks wasn’t the silly Gungan everyone thought, and that he is actually the mastermind behind The Empire. And so, “Darth Jar Jar” was born.
This has never been officially canonized by Disney or George Lucas, and probably never will, but his appearance in Fortnite is a nice nod for those familiar with the theory.
