Will Missing You Be As Successful As Other Harlan Coben Shows?

Missing You Already Has Several Aspects Working In Its Favor

In addition to the supposed release window reveal, Armitage’s tease about his character is intriguing. While he did not elaborate on details about his own character, the actor’s words about co-star Rosalind Eleazar provide excitement towards her role. Armitage and Eleazar’s performance in the stage showUncle Vanyawas high-profile, in that it was filmed and released to select theaters. Eleazar has enjoyed a few on-screen roles, such as inSlow HorsesandThe Personal History of David Copperfield, but she is a relatively unknown actress with exciting new talents to offer.

ThoughCoben has already released a number of Netflix shows,Missing Youhas the most pressure to perform out of many of his projects. This is due in large part to the massive success ofFool Me Once, which was the no. 1 show on Netflix for the first two weeks of its release. By February, the series had hit a major milestone by getting over 3 billion viewing minutes on the platform and became one of Netflix’s most watched series of all time. Following this success, the development ofMissing Youwas announced.

IfMissing Youdoes indeed premiere in January 2025, it could be well-timed, in thatFool Me Oncewould be fresh enough in viewers’ minds for it to be used as promotion for the next Coben series, but far enough away to leave them dying for another great mystery. In order to meet the supposed January goal,Missing Youwill have to really keep up with production. So far, it seems like the series is trying to do that, as in addition to Armitage and Eleazar, they have cast multiple other actors, including Lenny Henry and Jessica Plummer.
