Disney Dreamlight Valleyhas finally added more to do withyour companions. Now, instead of them just mindlessly following you around, you can utilize these adorable critters, gain rewards, and of course, level them up.
The Mysteries of Skull Rock updateintroduced a variety of new content, from the highly anticipated solution of (you guessed it) the mystery behind Skull Rock to the addition of Peter Pan. On top of this, The Forgotten will finally be able to become a friend, and you’ll now be able to change their name, which is fitting… no one wants to be called The Forgotten.
Moreover, there are new companion features that are already capturing the hearts of fans, including leveling up, unlocking rewards, and other perks. So, here’s all we know about the new companion friendship mechanic.
Companion friendship levels explained
As revealed in the update announcement, companions will now have friendship levels. If you pet them and hang out with them, then their friendship levels will increase, just like the traditional characters you meet around the Valley.
Petting themandperforming taskswillincrease their friendship levels, so be sure tohang outwith your favorite as you interact with forageables, dig, mine, and do other tasks in the Valley while you complete the newStar Path.
