During the “Temptation"questline that occurs early on in the campaign, you’ll be tasked withfollowing Crow into a cave imbued with the powers of Darkness.He’s wandered off on his own to investigate and left his Ghost, Glint, behind without him.
The Final Shapeopens up with the Guardian and Ghost entering the Pale Heart of the Traveler, where the Witness is wreaking havoc and burying it’s claws deeper into the Traveler’s Light to enact the Final Shape. It’s your job towork alongside the newly-reunited Vanguardto prevent the forces of the Witness from destroying the Traveler from the inside out. As you do so, you’ll be tasked with understanding new mechanics that, as in most cases withDestiny,will remain unexplained by the game.

How to Reach the Psion Puzzle in Destiny 2
The “Temptation” questis the second of seven known missions inThe Final Shape’s campaign.After you reach the Pale Heart and reunite with Cayde-6, he’ll explain that Crow has gone ahead of him and that he lost his trail when he entered a cave marked by darkness.
You’llfollow the destination marker on your HUDand in-game,leadingyou to a Prismatic glow, allowing you topick up Prismatic for the first time.After this, defeat the Tormentor and continue following the marker on your HUD until you reach the cave into which Crow disappeared.
You’ll notice that the cave you’re being led to is sealed off by a barrier of resonant darkness and thatthree plates are glowing with Resonant energy.Here is where you will begin the Psion Puzzle.Three new icons will appear on your HUD;head to any one of these and clear the ads on the way to begin the puzzle.
All Psion Puzzle Solutions
While this puzzle is unexplained, it becomes relatively simple once you know what to do. At each sundial, you will notice thatone of the small protrusions surrounding the dial glows with resonant energy.When you walk up to the totems on the side of each Conduit, you will have an interact option that reads “Requires Psionic Insight.“This can be gained by defeating the Taken Psions that spawn nearby.
After defeating one Psion,you’ll gain astack of Psionic Insight.If you interact with either totem on the side of the Conduit, you’ll see that one is labeled clockwise and the other is counterclockwise.The number of spaces the dial will move depends on how many stacks of Psionic Insight you have.If you have three stacks, and bank these stacks into the clockwise totem, the dial will move three spaces clockwise.
Using this knowledge,turn each Conduit until they are all pointing at the glowing piece around their edge.For the first Conduit,you’ll rotate the dial to one position, for the second you’ll have to do two, and for the third, three different positions.
After you’ve done all three, you’ll have completed the Psion Puzzleand should prepare for a boss fight.
Return to the sealed cave and a Taken boss will spawn. Defeat the ads and destroy the blights, then use a strong burst weapon, like thegod roll of the “Distant Pull” sniper rifle, to chunk down the boss' health until all the enemies are defeated.
Like all the puzzles inDestiny 2, the Psion Puzzle takes a bit of thinking and game knowledge to figure out. If you’re familiar with how buffs like these have worked in the past, you have a bit of an advantage when it comes to puzzle solving,as these mechanics often repeat throughout the content.The Final Shape’s campaign is intense and truly amazing to experience, so keep your wits about you as you pursue the Witness through the Pale Heart.
