Over the last few years, many streamers on the Amazon-owned platform have begun multistreaming across different sites and apps after Twitchchanged a rule that banned it entirely.

Now, Asmongold says he’s considering streaming on bothYouTubeand Twitch in an attempt to increase the amount of people that watch his broadcasts.

Asmongold says Twitch streams are “irrelevant”

“So far me, this is how I’m viewing going on another platform,” he said. “I have considered multi-streaming strongly, and I think that I probably will start. Then, I just don’t have to worry as much, and people can watch from other places as well.

“I do think it will increase the amount of people total that are watching. I’ll probably do that to an extent. To me, it’s all the same. What I really care about is YouTube and doing well on YouTube. I think that Twitch streams in general are kind of irrelevant.”

Viewers shared their thoughts about Asmon’s potential change on social media, with many of them excited about the idea of him streaming on YouTube.

“Would love for him to come stream on YT. It’s my favorite platform to watch streamers. I hate Twitch, I feel YouTube is so much better in terms of user friendly,” one user commented.

Another said: “Twitch has been irrelevant.”

“I never go on Twitch, but I’m always on YT. Don’t see why he wouldn’t do that unless he’s under contract in some form,” replied a third.
